Financial Services & Subsidization

Income Tax Credits and Deductions:

Residents receiving care through Massawippi Retirement Communities are eligible for a variety of tax deductions or tax credits from both the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenue Québec. Revenue Québec provides the opportunity for our seniors receiving care to receive a monthly tax credit to offset the cost of care.

Our staff provides support and guidance for residents in order that they are informed of the various options available. We will also assist in completing and submitting applications for the Québec monthly tax credit.

Charitable Subsidization:

As part of our mission, vision and values we seek to care for seniors including those who cannot afford the cost of care.  The Dr. W.J. Klinck Foundation provides charitable support exclusively to Massawippi Retirement Communities and administers a charitable resident subsidization program. This program is supported by charitable donations from individuals, businesses, and other foundations. To learn more about how to apply for subsidization please contact us directly.  To learn more about the Dr. W. J. Klinck Foundation please click here.

Recreation & Leisure

Recreation Services recognizes how important it is to be in community. Our recreation team strives to bring you meaningful recreation and leisure experiences that are best suited for you. This is done in holistic way, motivated by a multi-dimensional approach to wellness. With this philosophy, we deliver activities designed to meet a variety of needs through group and individualized programming.

An activities calendar is distributed monthly to all residents outlining the dates and times of group activities. Take note that calendars are subject to change. For this reason, activity announcements are done regularly at meal times to update residents of any changes and serve as a helpful reminder of the day’s activities.
